Robert “Bob” Carl Hammontree, 62, of Sheridan passed away at his residence on Friday, May 11, 2012.

Bob was born on May 3, 1950 in Sheridan, Wyoming to Harold Ray and Jean (Sanderson) Hammontree. He was raised in Sheridan, graduated from Sheridan High School in 1968. He liked camping, fishing, hunting, reading, and especially working with cars, he was a lifelong mechanic. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Obituary – Genevieve Haworth

Genevieve Haworth, 85, of Sheridan passed away on Monday, May 7, 2012 at the Westview Health Care Center.

Genevieve Edna Gross was born October 10, 1926, in Hardin, Montana, to Betty and Frank Gross. She grew up in Wyola, Montana, on the family ranch. She graduated from high school in Lodge Grass, Montana. She married Merl E Haworth after he returned from WWII and they moved to Parkman, Wyoming, where they railroaded, ranched and raised a family for the next 52 years. After Merl’s death, Genevieve continued to live in Parkman enjoying her dogs and cats.

Obituary – Duane Arthur Portwood

Duane Arthur Portwood, of Sheridan, Wyoming passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at the V. A. Medical Center.

Born in Four Corners, Wyoming, August 26, 1934 to Earl and Lillian Portwood, Duane grew up on a ranch near Newcastle, Wyoming and loved caring for farm animals, growing gardens and harvesting crops. He expanded those interests in his studies and received a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Agriculture from the University of Wyoming in 1958 and later earned his Masters of Science in Agricultural Economics from the University of Wyoming in 1965.

Obituary – Lillian A. Sadler

Lillian A. Sadler, 82, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at her home in Sheridan.

Lillian was born May 24, 1929 in Ranchester, Wyoming to parents Christof and Amalia (Leis) Deutsch. She attended school in Sheridan and later moved to Laramie, where she graduated from Laramie High School in 1948. She married William R. “Bill” Sadler February 20, 1950 in Miles City, Montana. They eventually returned to Sheridan and raised three children.

Obiturary – Cleo M. Haggard

Cleo M. Haggard, 89, of Sheridan passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at the Sheridan Manor in Sheridan, WY.

Cleo was born, August 29, 1922, outside Goodman, MO, to William and Mabel (Allison) Naramore. She attended school in MO and also AK. After graduation she taught elementary school until meeting and marrying Winston H. Haggard (Bud), September 11, 1943 in Cut Bank, MT. They later lived in MO, WY and then settled in CA. Both worked for the government until retirement. After the death of her husband and sister she returned to WY to be near her brother, Joe.
