If it wasn’t hot enough last week, the weather took care of that by making things a whole lot hotter this week by starting a fire out behind Cato Clear Creek Ranch in Ucross that ran for four high wind days. By all accounts it was a lightning strike that started all the trouble. The fire finally spread to over 28 thousand acres before it was contained, spreading heat and smoke that choked the whole Ucross Valley as well as Buffalo, Lake DeSmet and the southern parts of Sheridan County.
U.S. Senator Mike Enzi, R-Wyo., is encouraging college students and graduates to apply for an internship in his Washington, D.C. office this fall. The deadline for applications is July 6.
The internship offers experience in the direct operations of our nation’s government. Interns have the ability to network, develop job skills and gain knowledge to further their education and future career choices, according to Enzi.
